I haven't updated in a while. Since the last time I updated, I moved to Clarksburg, WV to be the SAMS. I've been here almost 2 weeks and everything is going well. I'm finally getting the hang of what it is that I'm supposed to be doing.

In other news, I won two free tickets to go skiing at Wisp from the radio. I had to go to McDonald's and pay for someone's food in order to win them, and three of the people I asked said no! If anyone asked to pay for my food, I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

Tomorrow is DYB. I love going to camp and practicing for youth councils, but I'll be relieved when it's over. It'll be nice to finally have some weekends free to hang with my friends.

That's about all for now. I'll try to update again sometime in the near future.

Merry (belated) Christmas everyone! My Christmas was pretty awesome except for the fact that I was sick (and still am.) It seems like someone in my family is always sick for Christmas, so I guess it was just my turn. Christmas Eve was really nice. We went to a piano concert to see this guy named Alez~Zsolt, and he was pretty amazing. After that we (me, mom, and grandma) went and visited a few shut-ins and sang them some Christmas carols. After that, I went and stayed with Uncle Don so Aunt Mary could go with mom and grandma to the candlelight service. I was a bit nervous because I didn't really know what to expect. Aunt Mary said he'd be alseep the whole time, but of course he woke up just after she left and was up the whole time. He just kept asking when the program would be over, and I'd ask him if he needed anything and he'd say, "No, I just want the program to be over legally." It really wasn't too bad.

On to Christmas morning...
We went over to Howard and Candy's at 7:30 to have breakfast and then watch the kids open their presents. I felt so bad for them, because just after we had gotten done eating and the kids had cleared off the table because they were so excited, Aunt Mary walked in for breakfast, so they had to wait until she was done. Watching the kids open presents is definitely one of my favorite parts of Christmas. Ruthie was most excited with her Mrs. Potato head, which goes to prove you don't have to spend a lot of money to make a kid happy. At least not until they get older lol. After they were done opening presents we went next door, and we opened one present an hour to drag out the excitement or something. Unfortunately, by around 3:00 I was feeling so lousy I didn't really care about the presents anymore. And though I wasn't feeling any better, I got a little more into the Christmas spirit at dinnertime, because we brought a couple people that are staying in the homeless shelter over for dinner because they didn't have any family to share Christmas with. They seemed to really enjoy themselves, and really appreciated having a nice home cooked meal and some fellowship for Christmas. It made me feel good, and it really made me appreciate all the presents I got for Christmas. Speaking of which, I got some pretty amazing gifts. I got Veronica Mars season 1 on dvd, a scanner for my laptop, Scene It: TV Edition, Trivial Pursuit Totally 80's Edition, a new uniform, the Sleepaway Camp box set, pepper spray, and some other random things.

Overall, it has been an amazing Christmas, and I'm very thankful to have such wonderful family and friends to share it with.

Alright, I'm going back to bed. I hope you all had a Christmas that was as great as mine.

I took my biology final last night, and unless I got below a 50% on it, I passed the class with a B. That's really good for me, because I hate strongly dislike biology. The teacher was really helpful, though. I'm also pretty excited to be done with school for a little while, because I won't be taking classes when I first move to Clarksburg. Partly because I most likely won't be moving until after the semester starts, and partly because I want to get settled in before I try going to school too.

Kettles are going alright, except for the fact that just about everyone quit. They actually all quit, but Captain New did a good job of talking one of them into coming back. So now whenever I'm not doing kettles, I'm working in the warehouse, which I absolutely love. I feel like a little kid again opening all the presents. It's great.

That's pretty much all that's been going on lately. Sorry for the lack of updates...

P.S. I freaking love Dave Barnes.

Someone I used to work with at the gym told their mother who told my grandma that I am the nicest person they have ever met, and that goodness just radiates from me. I only talked to her a few times, and it wasn't a very long conversation, but that really made me feel good. I mean, I always try to be nice to people, but I'm kind of shy around people I don't know so I'm afraid I come off as stuck up or something. It's good to know that not everyone thinks I'm a bad person.
